The New Harvard Dictionary of Music (1986) defines acoustic as, "Not electric, especially with reference to guitar or double bass (acoustic guitar, acoustic bass)." The definition of electroacoustic music is given as, "Music that is produced, changed, or reproduced by electronic means and that makes creative use of electronic equipment."
Working within the genre of art music, my acoustic compositions have included chamber music for piano, voice, instruments and ensembles.
Events and experiences of daily life inspire and influence these works, just as they do in the creation of electroacoustic soundscape compositions.
